Practical view is a internal variable used for organizational communication. What happens is when a company wants to be more efficient (time), they might change the way they do things to see if it will make a change for the better.
I feel like a lot of companies’ change the ways they work sometimes by cutting expenses and making more profit. I suppose it can be the more practical way of doing it, however sometimes I feel like it can hurt their workers. What if the company lays off people that have been there for a long time to hire incoming people who will work for lower wages? What do you guys think?

Practical view as you explained can be very cruel and hurt the employees. However, it is the best thing for the company economic-wise as they make more profit. A lot of employers especially in big companies only care about (mostly) profit rather than their employess and practical view is more practiced. However, there are employers who are in small companies who actually care for their employers and sometimes sacrifice making more profit for the sake that their employees can keep their job. I guess it depends on your priority. I myself want to start a good career in the future and I know that I probably will become an employer who cares about his or her employees even if it meant making less profit (as long as I am still making a reasonable amount of profit).
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is a very hurtful and impersonal way of doing business. I feel some of the best ways to keep productivity up and keeping your business booming is to keep employees happy and rewarded for their hard work. I hope that by the time I enter the workforce, American business will remember that and be more inspired to hire within.
